Suprabhat Bhandari, president of Guardians Association Nepal and a member of CFFMC, said that the new committee would be fixing the fee ceiling of Grade XI and XII soon.
“The CFFMC has directed the new sub-committee to determine the fee ceiling ensuring that it would not be increased from the last year's fee structure, which means Plus Two colleges will not be allowed to increase the fee structure this year too,“ he said. “Other members of the committee would be determined by the coordinator later. Likewise, the committee has also directed the schools and Plus Two colleges not to increase the fees in accordance with the increment in salary of government employees and government schools.“
Currently, some schools and Plus Two colleges have been charging exorbitant fees for issuing character certificates against the Institutional School Standard and Operation Directives-2069. The CFFMC also today drew the attention of the concerned sector to the directives. According to the directives, schools and Plus Two colleges should not charge more than the fee fixed for the original certificate of SLC for character certificates and migration certificates.
The Office of Controller of Examination charges Rs 200 for original certificate but some schools and Plus Two colleges have been found to be charging more than Rs 1,000 for issuing character certificates and migration certificates.
