Internationally acclaimed Scottish programmes in Nepal
Nepal is set to witness the internationally-recognised Scottish education programmes for the first time through an initiative from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Nepal in association with the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA).
The Scottish qualification programmes were launched amid a function in the Capital on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, SQA Head of International Awarding Alistair Shaw said the programme’s launching in Nepal was a significant step for the institution. “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the LCCI Nepal,” Shaw added. “Our qualifications enable learners to reach their own individual goals and meet the needs of their local economies. I am sure learners in Nepal will benefit from the opportunities these new courses will present.”
The programmes will be helpful in enhancing the education standards of Nepal, according to the LCCI Nepal, which has recently received the SQA approval to run the qualification programme in Nepal. The LCCI, currently working with 15 prestigious colleges across Nepal, has already certified more than 10,000 individuals. SQA works with schools, colleges, universities and training organisations to develop and deliver qualifications and assessments.
