KUSOM launches restructured MBA program-MBA Technology Management,Finance, Marketing,Hospitality, Human Resources, Banking and Insurance
In an event held at Hotel Himalaya, in Kupondole, Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) launched the restructured postgraduate degree program – Specialist Master of Business Administration (MBA).
The upgrading of the program is a result of intensive internal review and the assessment of evolving national and global trend of business and business education. The program focuses on ensuring high level of professional, social, ethical, and personal values, standards, behaviors and skills for the graduates. The Specialist MBA program will be effective from the coming fall term – September 2013, and will have a total credit load of 65.
The Specialist MBA degrees are MBA (Technology Management), MBA (Banking and Insurance Management), MBA (Hospital Management), MBA (Finance), MBA (Marketing) and MBA (Human Resources) among others.
Subash KC, Dean of KUSOM MBA program shared, “The students will have to enroll themselves in rural parts of the country and assist local entrepreneurs and businessmen in accounting, local economy, etc for two to four weeks as part of the program. This way, they’ll get to learn about businesses and ventures of the villages as well.”
