KUSOMites unleash their potential
With the notion ‘Unleash Your Potential’, students of Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) organised KUSOM Annual Co curricular Event (KACE) in association with Rhino and Commerz and Trust Bank.
The programme began on April 6 and continued for five days. Different competitions like essay, quiz, poem, drama, table tennis, chess, badminton, cricket, and so on were held during the event where around 350 students from KUSOM participated.
The event aimed at developing sportsmanship and team spirit among the students while providing them with managerial experiences in a real time setting.
Also, the students got a break from their mundane class schedule and were able to realise their physical and intellectual potential. Meanwhile, at the closing ceremony of the event, Dr Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University and Prof Subas KC, Dean of KUSOM awarded the winners with certificates and gift hampers.
This year, they also gave continuity to the events they had introduced in 2012 — print advertisement, competition and honouring the best class having maximum winners with the running shield .
As such, the running shield for this year was bagged by MBA IInd year students. And this shied has inspired other KUSOMites to work and play better next time.
KACE wouldn’t have been such a stupendous event without the synergy of the organising team consisting of Ankush Upreti (co-ordinator), Sukriri KC (vice co-ordinator), Gaurav Pote (secretary), Udgum Khadka (joint secretary) and Ila Poudel (treasurer). Also they were supported by the dean and faculty members of KUSOM.
