Ministry of Education issues directives to subordinate bodies
Kathmandu: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has directed its subordinate bodies to revise the citizen's charter, assign nodal officers at their respective offices, and operate the help desk in a more efficient manner.
At a regular press meet organised by the Ministry on Monday, Ministry's assistant spokesperson Narayan Krishna Shrestha said all the subordinate bodies have been instructed to implement the government immediate relief programmes unveiled recently. "The task of formulating the mid-term programmes is in the final phase", he added.
Similarly, the report prepared by the committee formed for fixing the limitations for tuitions fees of the medical colleges and maintaining uniformity on it was sent to the Council of Ministers and it has been forwarded to the Parliament's committee for discussion, said Mr Shrestha.
Chiefs of the government offices in all the 75 districts have been directed to manage a separate telephone number for responding to the people's complaints and managed free enrollment package for children who are unable to go to schools due to many reasons, according to Mr Shrestha.
Likewise, the Ministry has directed its subordinate bodies to adopt e-bidding process so as to make the contract and procurement of the government offices goods more transparent and competitive.
Besides, the Curriculum Development Center and the Higher Secondary Education Board, on the recommendation of the Ministry, have started homework to prepare the format of Grade 9-12 new curriculum, said the Education Ministry's assistant spokesperson.
