NAST to make scientific research effective
Lalitpur: Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) is all set to make scientific research and study modern and effective.
The NAST has put forward a strategic plan to make the existing physical infrastructure equipped and effective by further managing them.
A process is in place to bring in ultramodern machines and equipments in the first phase to make the research on science and technology modern and efficient, said Vice-chancellor of the NAST, Prof. Dr. Surendra Raj Kafle.
NAST has made preparation to import necessary well-rounded x-ray machines including GCMS, he informed.
An agreement letter was signed to purchase such machines from India, Japan, Germany and the United States. Procurement process has been moved ahead so equipment will be available here within three months, according to the NAST sources.
