Nepal Literature Festival 2012 to commence in a while
All the book lovers, and aspiring writers, here is a good news for you. The best place for you to visit: The Ncell Nepal Literature Festival 2012.
The festival will be inaugurated at 11: 00am today at the Nepal Academy, Kamaladi.
The five-day carnival will bring together over 100 eminent writers from Nepal and abroad.
Nepali writers to take part in the festival include Abhi Subedi, Dhruba Chandra Gautam, Jagdish Ghimire, Chaitanya Mishra, Khagendra Sangraula and Bhuwan Dhungana.
Meanwhile, who have a dream of meeting India authors personally, then the Ncell Nepal Literature Festival is a perfect place. Indian authors including Bengali poet and novelist Sunil Gangopadhyay, Amish Tripathi, Advaita Kala, Indian-Nepali writers like Dr Kumar Pradhan and Mana Prasad Subba will also be spotted in the event.
The major attraction of the fiesta is Indian journalist Vinod Mehta.
Today’s discussion will be centered on the changes seen in the writing style since 1990.
Festival director Ajit Baral, said, “The main aim of this festival is to honour the authors. Moreover, it also targets promoting and developing the literary scenario lessening the gap between authors and readers as readers will be able to meet the authors.”
There will be various talk sessions on literature, art, music, sociology and economics in the four-day festival.
The festival is organised by The Bookworm Trust and is sponsored by Ncell.
