NPABSAN calls for amending Institutional Schools Guidelines
National Private and Boarding Schools' Association Nepal (National PABSAN) has demanded that the institutional schools guidelines-2069 B.S. be amended.
The National PABSAN organized a press conference here today and stated that majority of the schools were highly affected from some of the clauses in the guidelines and that it demanded the Ministry of Education to amend them.
In a press release distributed to the press on the occasion, the National PABSAN alleged that the government has made the threshold limitation as the basis for upgrading classes without prior notice to it and it demanded that the government provide license to schools concerned to run class six and class nine immediately. The organization has also demanded exemption of fee taken as fine by the Office of the Company Registrar.
Similarly, the National PABSAN demanded an end to the discriminatory policy of the Ministry and the University while providing scholarships and miscellaneous facilities under the higher education.
Chairperson of the National PABSAN, Gita Rana, said it has been necessary to take initiatives to address all problems regarding the upgrading of the classes in the institutional schools for a time from government's side.
The National PABSAN also submitted a memorandum to the Minister for Education demanding that the guidelines be amended.
