Online registration for IELTS launched
The British Council Nepal today launched online registration service for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
With the new facility, one can register for IELTS test on any available date at any available venue through the internet.
Issuing a press statement, British Council said that the initiative was taken to make it easier for candidates to register without having to come to the Council themselves.
It said, “However, some parts of the process still remain in the traditional way — payment has to be made at a bank and the candidate needs to submit hard copies of supporting documents.”
It said that the students registering online would get free access to 30-hour online learning course ‘Road to IELTS’, and free membership of the British Council Learning Centre for one month.
It has also offered special British Council and IELTS branded umbrellas and pens to all candidates registering online throughout the launch week.
According to British Council, Anuja Ojha was the first candidate to register for IELTS online.
British Council Country Director, Dr Robert Monro, presented her with a free book ‘Top Tips for IELTS’, Learning Centre membership for one month and other gifts.
