Over 3,936 graduates attend 12th PU convocation
POKHARA: Over 3,936 students of various faculties participated in the 12th convocation ceremony of the Pokhara University on Wednesday.
Minister for Forests and Soil-Conservation Mahesh Acharya along with former Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University and scholar Pr. Dr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema facilitated the students in the programme.
Students who passed M.Phil, Construction Management, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Interdisciplinary Water Resources Management, Pharmeceutical Science, Transportation Engineering & Management, Health Care Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Computer Information System, English, Population, Gender and Development have participated in the programme.
Similarly, students of Biometric, Environmental Management, Pharmaceutical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Public Health, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Nursing, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil and Rural Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering have also attended the ceremony.
On the occasion, Dr. Mathema said that the education provided by the University is not only qualitative but also the human resources produced by the university have made significant contribution in and outside the country.
The University has three faculties; Management, Science and Technology, and Humanities and Sociology.
There are altogether 58 colleges affiliated to the Pokhara University across the country.
