Plus Two decision draws flak
Kathmandu: Cadres of All Nepal National Free Students Union today set the chair of Saraswoti Campus chief on fire to protest the government decision to confer the same status to a three-month course in India and Plus Two in Nepal.
They took out a rally from Tri Chandra Campus to protest the decision, which they said would discourage hardworking students in Nepal.
Kishor Bikram Malla, ANNFSU general-secretary, said, “A three-month course getting the same certificate as a two-year course costing hundreds of rupees will depreciate the value of education in Nepal.”
He warned of protests if the government failed to withdraw the decision. He called on the public to press the government on tthe issue.
