All necessary preparation for conducting School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations across the country from coming March 19 has been over, said the Office of Examinations Control, Sano Thimi.

The office has reached out all necessary materials including question papers and answer sheets to all 75 districts across the country, said Examination Controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware.

Total 574,685 students have submitted their forms to appear in this year's SLC examination. Of them total 426,214 examinees including 212,504 boys and 213,710 girls are appearing in the exam towards regular category.

Likewise, total 145,183 students including 59,253 boys and 85,930 girls are attending the exams towards exempted category.
Kathmandu has the highest number of 34,587 SLC examinees while Manag will have the lowest 74 examinees this year. He further informed that altogether 1,862 exam centers have been set up across the country.
