Scholarships for Nepali students
Eighty-five students enrolled in secondary and higher secondary levels of different schools in Nepal have been awarded with a scholarship of Rs 10,000 each by the Government of Pakistan.
On behalf of the Government of Pakistan, Embassy of Pakistan organized an event in Kathmandu to hand over the scholarships to the students at Tilingatar Higher Secondary School on Tuesday.
Education Minister Chitra Lekha Yadav was the chief guest of the ceremony and she handed over cheque of Rs 123,000 to the representative of Shree Janaheet Higher Secondary School of Kavre for the school’s infrastructural development. Library/school books worth Rs 50,000 was awarded to Paropakar Adarsha Higher Secondary School, Bhimsenthan and Rs 200,000 was handed over to New Children’s Home, Hattigauda, for the school fees of the orphan children enrolled at the school.
