Scholarships in memory of deceased son
Bhaktapur: Parents of the Janak Khadka, who was killed in a car accident in Germany last year, today established Janak Khadka Scholarship Fund in his memory. Janak was 22 when he was killed on March 4 last year.
Kiran Khadka and Durga Devi Khadka of Dhadhikot Bhaktapur contributed a revolving fund of Rs 1.2 million for scholarships for the needy children in 22 schools in five VDCs in Bhaktapur today. Director General of the Department of Education Lawa Dev Awasthi awarded scholarships to 22 students of all the public schools of Dhadhikot, Balkot, Sirutar, Gundu and Katunje during a scholarship distribution programme held at Araniko Higher Secondary School, Dhadhikot today.
