School entrance exam stayed
Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today directed Budhanilkantha school management committee to stay the entrance examination of class five in response to a complaint filed at the anti-graft body.
Issuing a press release, CIAA spokesperson Ishwori Prasad Paudel said that it has stayed the test as the anti-graft body found discrepancies in scholarship quota in the entrance exam.
The CIAA also directed the Education Secretary, who is ex-officio chairman of the school management committee, to stay the exam scheduled for November 5 to maintain transparency in the examination.
The anti-graft body also directed the ministry to identify the students and their guardians who forged the details of students seeking admission.
Accusing the school management committee of conspiring to select relatives of the members, the School’s Staff Union had filed the complaint with anti-graft body.
