SLC exam concludes
This year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination concluded on Friday.
According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), a total of 547,165 students appeared in this year's SLC examinations. Of them, 430,097 were regular while 117,068 sat for the second time as exempted examinees.
Altogether 1,786 examination centres were set up for the examinations this year, with the largest number in Kathmandu at 86 and lowest in Manang and Mustang with one each.
The Office mobilized 1,786 centre chiefs and 2,655 deputy chiefs supported by 21,890 invigilators, 7,297 support staff and 19,860 security personnel.
The SLC Examination Board adopted tough measures in a bid to conduct fair exams.
