The School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations which are perceived as the iron gate of life have concluded from today.Altogether 566,085 students had attended the examinations which were started from March 20.Of the total 566,085 students appearing SLC exams this year, 419, 352 were under the regular category and 146,733 were under the exempted category.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) mobilised 1,836 superintendents, 2,757 vice-superintendents, 22,593 invigilators, 7,530 assistants and 18,360 security personnel across the country to conduct the exams.

Kathmandu had the largest number of examinees (33,085) and Manang the lowest (88).

According to the OCE, 1,836 exam centres were set up all across the country for the examinations.

It has been learnt that the examination which was cancelled in Dhanusa following a clash ensued between the security personnel and students would not be taken again.
