Kathmandu, May 30: Students not satisfied with their School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam results need to apply for re-totaling of their marks within 15 days of the publication of the results.

Earlier, students had to apply for re-totaling within 35 days.

Examination Controller Surya Gautam said that the new provision was introduced by making amendments in the operation and management of SLC exam regulations.

The new provision was made with the intention of making the students able to get their new results before the complimentary exams began, he said.

The regulations included a provision to end the practice of dividing the posts of exam superintendent, assistant superintendent and others among the political parties.

According to the new provision, the headmaster of the concerned centre school would automatically become the superintendent of the exam centre, said Gautam.
