Students boycott exam
Kathmandu: Some students of Masters in Education, second year, today boycotted their exam stating that questions on the Research Methodologies paper were out of syllabus.
Half of the examinees from exam centres at Shankar Dev Campus, Padma Kanya Campus and Bhaktapur Multiple Campus left the exam hall.
Mahesh Dahal, assistant campus chief, Padma Kanya Campus said only around 125 out of 400 students took the exam. He said, “I tried to convince students not to leave the exam hall but in vain.”
Yamuna Kayastha of Shankar Dev Campus administration said almost half of the 372 examinees there boycotted the exam.
Dilli Prasad Danai, a student of Mahendra Ratna Campus, Tahachal, said, “I was about to attempt subjective questions after completing objective questions, a group of students began to shout that the question papers were out of syllabus.”
He said all the students from his exam hall left and moved towards the Office of the Controller of Examination, Balkhu. As many as 28 students in Bhaktapur Multiple Campus, boycotted the exam, said Shankar Kumar Upadhaya, campus chief.
