The British College Shines in NEC 2.0
Mr Tarun Agarwal and Mr Sachet Roy, two students from The British College, achieved extraordinary success at the NEC 2.0, winning prestigious positions in the Business Plan Competition and Mega Pitch Festival.
From the 26th to the 28th of January 2024, Agrawal and Roy had to compete with 150 other teams to become one of the 15 finalists at the National Entrepreneurship Conclave 2.0, held at LEAD College of Management in Palakkad, Kerala. Presenting their innovative idea to the team, they further managed to earn a top five position in the technology sector startup and claim first place in ideation phase plans - a remarkable feat that earned them both certificates and prestigious awards.
Speaking of this achievement, Tarun Agarwal said, “We were so pleased to be able to work together as Business and Computing students to showcase our innovative concept, which is still in the ideation phase. We never could have done it without the invaluable support of the TBC Business Incubation Centre Lead, MrSubodhRupakheti, who helped us to stand out amongst some truly amazing competition.”
Throughout the competition, the students engaged with industry leaders and fellow entrepreneurs who provided unparalleled networking opportunities, enriching discussions, and valuable insights into the Indian business landscape. They also had the opportunity to visit various institutions, including IIT Palakkad's Technology iHub Foundation and PSG Steps Incubation Centre, which exposed them to innovative ideas and prototypes.
"We are thrilled to stand at the forefront of NEC 2.0, reaffirming our dedication to shaping the future of entrepreneurship," said SubodhRupakheti, Lead of TBC Incubation Centre. "The collaboration with LEAD College of Management marks a significant milestone for us, as it opens up new avenues for cross-collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem."
