TU staff warn of stir
Kathmandu: Tribhuvan University employees have warned of staging protest at the constituent campuses over their demands not met by the university.
TU employees have declared they will padlock all constituent campuses from February 15 indefinitely if their demands are not addressed. The employees have taken exception to rejection of separate agreements signed with TU on January 1 and 6.
Submitting a memorandum to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on February 1 and Education Minister Dinanath Sharma on February 5, organising protest assembly in all campuses of Kathmandu Valley from February 7 to , and padlocking the campuses of the capital city from February 10 are among the protest programmes. Their demands include uniform allowance and internal promotion packages for employees.
