Two Nepali students found dead
NEW DELHI, DEC 31 - Two Nepali students at Bangalore Technological Institute were found dead at a railway crossing, about one kilometre away from the campus, on Monday evening.
The deceased were identified as Raju Upadhyay of Banepa and Rusha Maharjan of Lalitpur. According to their friends, Raju and Rusha had gone out for shopping before leaving for Nepal for winter vacation. They had booked the train tickets for Thursday. Tek Bahadur KC, a Nepali student at the Institute, said Raju’s body was found near the track with an injury on his head and a fractured arm, while Rusha’s body was on the track with a fractured leg and abdominal wound. Some people who were waiting at the station said that the two were hit by a train.
The bodies have been kept at a hospital in Shivajinagar and autopsy is due to take place after the arrival of the relatives of the deceased.
