UK edu fair ends on a high note
The UK Education Exhibition organised by British Council in the Capital concluded on Wednesday. Around 3,500 people attended the last day of the event held at Hotel Everest. Nearly 3,000 students and parents had visited the fair on Tuesday.
According to Bickram Shrestha, the education officer at British Council, the query of the students was mainly focused on the procedure for applying in the British colleges, their fees and the conditions for acquiring scholarships. The visitors also got the chance to interact directly with the representatives from the colleges and universities about their education, fee structure and scholarships. Over 25 renowned universities and colleges from the UK had set up their stalls in the two-day event. Similarly, there were separate counselling session on the career, courses and visa procedures.
The council has been organising the exhibition for the last 10 years. And each year, there has been a steady rise in the number of visitors. For the first time, the British Council is organising the education exhibition in Pokhara, which will take place on Thursday. The organisers expect to see around 1,000 visitors in Pokhara.
