Unions for reduction of fee in engg colleges
Kathmandu: A meeting of 13 Student organisations reached an agreement on the reduction of annual tuition fees fixed by the engineering colleges by Rs. 15,000.
At the meeting held at the Central Office of ANNFSU here in the Capital on Wednesday, they concluded that the fee hike by Rs. 50,000 to 100,000 in the engineering studies contributed in denying access to students.
In a bid to increase scholarship opportunities and help the students willing to pursue engineering studies find resources as education loan, the students’ bodies decided to work together.
ANNFSU Chairman Madhav Dhungel said if the agreement between universities, the Ministry of Education and 13 student organisations is implemented, they will allow smooth admission in universities where it has been obstructed.
