US lady Maggie Doyne wins CNN Hero award
An American lady Maggie Doyne who has been working as a social worker in Nepal has been declared CNN Hero of the Year 2015.
Social worker Doyne, who featured in the top 10 finalists, has been declared wi nner throgh voting which also carries a purse of USD100, 000.Doyne, permanent resident of New Jersey, USA, had taught underprivileged and helpless students by establishing a school Kopila in Surkhet in 2010 where over 250 students have been studying.
Beside school, Doyne has also opened up Kopila Valley Women Center and has been proving skilled-based trainings to women since 2013. Currently, Doyne along with her team has been constructing a well-equipped school building to run classes from Nursery to 12.
