World Topper ACCA Students at The British Professional College
ACCA students at the British Professional College (BPC), sister college of The British College (TBC) have once again achieved World Topper Status - keeping the incredible winning streak of outstanding results going for the College.
Students Dipamshu Thapa and Harsh Bardhan Shah became world second and third in the June 2023 Taxation Paper, receiving almost full marks with 98% and 97% respectively. And Ranjan Poudel produced excellent results too in the Strategic Business Reporting paper by scoring an outstanding 91% and securing second place.
The ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) programme is the largest and fastest-growing international accountancy body in the world and these students follow in the footsteps of BPC alumni Riya Manandhar and Rejika Maharjan who both achieved first place in the ACCA World Rankings twice.
Executive Principal, Professor Mary Bishop, an ACCA Fellow herself, and former Director of Learning at ACCA Global, congratulated the students and said, “These are incredibly tough exams and to gain world topper status is exceptional. Congratulations to the students for their achievement and commitment, and to the teaching staff who continue to support all the BPC students to deliver great results in a very prestigious qualification”.
This also comes at a great time for the College, who have recently been awarded the prestigious Platinum Approved Learning Partner (ALP) status by the ACCA. Platinum is the highest level of approval available to providers of the qualification - and therefore marks a significant milestone for the College.
When speaking of this achievement, Amardeep Mandal, Head of Marketing at TBC, said “We are focussed on quality learning, as evidenced by these high results, and for that reason, admissions are now only open for a limited number of students. We look forward to meeting the next members of the BMC family and can’t wait to see what they will achieve next!”
