Job Description
The Officer Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for providing analytical support to the organization by preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. This role involves consolidating reports from various departments, aiding the sales team in financial aspects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and conducting in-depth financial analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
> Prepare Financial Statements: Generate periodic financial reports that accurately reflect the company’s financial status.
> Budget Preparation: Develop detailed budgets for all entities within the group, ensuring fiscal discipline and alignment with strategic goals.
> Financial Forecasting: Create financial forecasts to predict future financial conditions and performance.
> Report Consolidation: Compile and consolidate reports from different departments, providing a comprehensive financial overview.
> Sales Team Support: Assist the sales team in formulating discount schemes, terms of delivery, and cash discounts to enhance profitability.
> Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure compliance with all accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant statutory regulations.
> Account Reconciliation: Support the Credit Control Unit (CCU) in reconciling debtor accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
> Financial Data Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support strategic decision-making.
> Additional Duties: Take on other day-to-day tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
