3-day Kathmandu Post career edu fair starts on July 26
In a bid to bring together various educational institutions and students in one single platform, the Kantipur Publications in association with Global Education Counseling Centre is organising ‘The Kathmandu Post Career Edu Fair 2013’ in the Capital from July 26 to 28.
The three-day mega event will see the participation of a significant number of institutes from several countries along with their counselors and consultants at the Exhibition Hall in Bhrikutimandap.
With the participation of more than 150 institutions, the fair is expected to provide all visitors an opportunity to directly interact with representatives and get best counseling possible in furthering their academic careers.
According to Kantipur’s Chief Marketing Officer Mahesh Swar, the event is expected to have the footfall of over 120,000 visitors in three days.
“We will be bringing together academic institutions and consultancies from Nepal as well as India and other countries,” Swar said.
According to Neeta Yogi of Global Education Counseling Centre, a platform like “The Kathmandu Post Career Edu Fair” is a demand of time.
“It will provide an opportunity for Nepali students to learn about the education system, courses of study, scholarship and environment of the country they want to go to,” she said, adding that it is the right of every student to get proper information about quality institution, courses of their choice, financial resources, scholarship options and living styles, climate of a particular place and the country where they want to study.
According to her, the fair will also bring newer subjects, including Fashion Designing, Interior Designing and Animation, among others. The regular subject options at the fair ranges from Science, Arts, and Humanities to other disciplines like Chartered Accountants, Paramedical, Management and Information Technology.
British College is the title sponsor of the fair with Lord Buddha Educational Foundation (LBEF) being the main sponsor supported by King’s College.
