Apex College win title
Apex College defeated hosts St. Xavier’s College 36-31 to clinch the title of Saint Xavier’s College Basketball Tournament at Maitighar on Tuesday. Ashis Wagle scored the game high with 19 points to assure the title for Apex, while Suvash Sharma starred for the other team with 10 points.
St. Xavier’s looked to be the eventual winners when they took a 8-5 lead at the end of the first quarter but Apex bounced back to lead the game by a point at the end of the second quarter. Apex continued the momeuntm taking the rest of the quarters with 11-6 and 13-11points. Anup Shrestha of Apex was adjudged most valuable player of the tournament with his outstanding performance in the tournament.?
