Indian university grants PhDs to TU academicians
The Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati University of Rajasthan, India, has awarded Ph. D. degree to Associate Professor Sanjaya Kumar Shrestha and Lecturer Jeetendra Kumar Upadhyay.
Shrestha and Upadhayay are with the Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Management. Shrestha has been awarded Ph. D. degree for his thesis titled 'Strategic Management and Institutional Effectiveness of Nepali Commercial Banks' and Upadhyay for his thesis titled 'Managerial Control System of Nepali Commercial Banks'.
Shrestha completed his Ph. D. study under the partial scholarship granted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) while Upadhyay did his through personal expenses. Shrestha who hails from Biratnagar teaches at the T.U. Central Department of Management and Upadhyay who is from Kathmandu teaches at the Nepal Commerce Campus, Meenbhawan in Kathmandu.
