Mark sheets sans signature and stamp
Gamgadhi: SLC graduates of Mugu district may have finally crossed the Iron Gate this year, but it looks as if their hard labour has been in vain.
The reason: their mark sheets have been marked ‘passed’ but they bear no signature of the authority and stamp of the SLC Board.
Thanks to the glaring negligence of the Office of Controller of Examinations, the mark sheets of both passed and failed students have no stamp of the Sanothimi-based Office of Controller of Examinations and the signature of the Controller of Examinations.
“Sixty per cent of the mark sheets of the 717 examinees from the district, have no stamp and signature,” said Acting District Education Officer Dhanasudan Chaulagai, who added that his office has directed schools across the district to inform about any defective mark sheet.
Mina Rokaya, a student who passed SLC from Pravat Secondary School, Rowa, this year, says after getting the faulty mark sheet now she has no option but to frequent the district education office because she did not get admitted to Grade 11 at Mahakali Higher Secondary, because of the flawed mark sheet.
“It’s not only my problem, but also my brother’s and friends’ problem,” she said.
