'Reschedule exams'
KATHMANDU: All Nepal National Free Students Union, student wing of CPN-UML, on Monday urged the government to conduct Grade XI and Grade XII exams only after life in affected areas returns to normalcy.
“Fourteen districts have been worst hit by the earthquake, so we would like to request the concerned authorities to conduct exams in these affected areas only after life in these areas return to normalcy,” said Kishor Bikram Malla, president, ANNISU, in a press statement. After the massive earthquake of April 25, many students are traumatised and facing hard time.
“The government should also make provisions of allowing students from earthquake affected district to sit for exams from another district if the examinees wish so,” read the statement.
