Talent express at Expressions
Bringing together students from 15 colleges to express them through their talent, Coca Cola Expressions 2012, Ace Inter-College Festival was held in gusto.
Organised on the college premises, New Baneshwor and Nepal Academy Hall, from July 12 to 15, it was an annual event to celebrate by the students with platforms to show their talent as well as to have fun.
“One can increase creativity and get the confidence to face the mass with the festival along with fun,“ Ashish Ghimire, BBA VIth Semester student of Kathmandu Model College (KMC) had to say about the festival. He was one of the participants of Mad Ads on July 14 where he presented “crazy show with crazy product“. And he had acted as a mad scientist who invents medicine that can make men pregnant.
Like Mad Ads, various other competitions were held during the festival each day. Different colleges like Saipal Academy, Apex College, King's College among others took part in contests -music competition, dance competition, painting, rangoli making to name a few.
Bishal Shrestha, Associate Director, Graduate School of Ace Institute of Management, believes “It is an inter-college event where many competitions are organised under one roof.“ As per him, Nepal was only witnessing competitions for music and sports earlier. He thinks that the “students are not participating and showing enthusiasm much in other competitions of fine art and management events like in debate“.
