Tri Chandra chief working elsewhere
Kathmandu: Hari Prasad Parajuli, Chief of Tri Chandra College, cannot be found in his college during office hours 10:00 am to 5:00 pm because he is busy at a private college at the time.
He takes BA I Compulsory Nepali classes at St Xaviers College from 11:55 am to 12:40 pm and sources say he is also the Nepali subject co-coordinator there. A Tri-Chandra College official seeking anonymity said Parajuli turns up once in three to four days. During emergencies, the administration staff take files to his home for signature.
The four assistant chiefs of the college are also following their boss’ footsteps affecting administration work, even though Tribhuvan University rules do not allow such work.
Talking to this daily, Bhabindra Khadka, member of TU monitoring committee said, “We tried to find out but did not see his name on the list of staff furnished by the college.”
“An estimated 90 per cent of the 500 teaching staff are flouting the rule by working in other campuses in the same shift and as full time staff,” said a lecturer at the college. Parajuli, however, denied his involvement in St Xaviers or any other colleges.
