Up to 10 pc discount on school textbooks
Parents of students studying in private schools can get school textbooks at cheaper rates, thanks to an agreement between school owners and booksellers.
As per Saturday’s seven-point agreement with schools, sellers will make books available to parents at discounts of up to 10 per cent. Mass-based schools like Little Angels and GEMS have discounted upto ten percent, said Umesh Shrestha, principal of Little Angels school. “This is the first time private schools have given discount,” added Shrestha. He claimed that booksellers have provided books in sets for the convenience of parents. Principal at Belmont International School Samakhushi Narayan Lal Shrestha said they have managed to secure minimum discount of 10 percent to parents concerned.
