Habitat for Humanity International Nepal
Position: Specialist - Business Development
> No. of vacancies: 1 (One)
> Date of Announcement: 4 October 2024
> Duration: One Year and Extendable
> Location: Kathmandu
> Reports to: Sr. Manager - Resource Development & Communications
> Field Visits: 40% travel (Domestic)
Core Function: The incumbent will work closely with the Resource Development (RD) and Communication Team at Habitat Nepal, and will contribute to the overall fundraising by developing appealing programs, writing proposals, and building donor networks and relationships.
Education Qualification and Professional Experience
> A master’s degree in development studies, or related subjects.
> At least 5 years of experience in the field of resource development.
> Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience in resource mobilization and business development processes with major institutional donors, including fundraising strategy development, donor engagement, and proposal development.
> Understanding and experience in award/grant management, ensuring donor compliance and reporting
> Direct contribution in successfully securing funding from bilateral, multilateral, corporate, and private donors.
Knowledge and Competencies
> Outstanding oral and written communication skills; innovative and creative thinker.
> Willingness and ability to work closely with other departments, institutions, and across cultures.
> Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality results.
> Excellent research and analysis, presentation, and negotiation skills.
> Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven.
