VACANCY NOTICE
Heifer Project Nepal (HPN) is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for the earth by providing livestock, education, and other resources to help poor families become self-reliant. HPN invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens for following Projects.

1. Associate Finance Officer – 1 “Value Chain for Inclusive Transformation of Agriculture Program (VITA)” Project

Major Roles and Responsibility:
Accountable for ensuring financial transactions are completed in a timely manner and filed along with proper supporting documentation. Ensure accurate data entry into ERP and timely payments to staff and vendors. Maintain proper communication with staff and vendors.

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related fields is required, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar context.
- Experience in working with an international organization is preferred.
- Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements

Most Critical Proficiencies:
- Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity.
- Ability and willingness to work on a flexible schedule.
- Valid driving license for two wheelers.
- Motivated to work responsibly with little supervision.
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to meet and deal with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork, and cooperation


2. Project Manager – 1 Milky Way Project

Major Roles and Responsibility:
Project Manager – Milky Way, will lead efforts to scale up successful and proven dairy technologies and practices across the dairy value chain nationwide. S/he will collaborate with the Milky Way Program team, CDCAN, the Dairy Development Boards, and provincial and local governments to enhance efficiency in quality milk production, processing, and marketing using scientific and evidence-based approaches across the entire dairy value chain. The manager will ensure efficient implementation of project activities, compliance with standards, timely monitoring and reporting, and delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget while maintaining accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Qualification and Skill
- A bachelor’s degree in veterinary science, Agricultural Science, Dairy Technology, Business Development, or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience, or a master’s degree in any of the above fields with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in dairy development will be considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, social capital development, institutional development, capacity building, training, smallholder farmers/rural SMEs/co-ops, and base of the pyramid consumers

Most Critical Proficiencies:
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while also having strong team-building skills
- Fluent in local language and English (both spoken and written)Excellent analytical skills and leadership qualities
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, electronic mail (Microsoft office preferred), and internet
- Willingness to extensively travel to rural areas
