Nepal Engineering College (NEC)
Changunarayan, BhaktapurProfile
Reputable academic institution, Nepal Engineering College (nec) was founded in 1994 with the goal of giving Nepalese students access to high-quality technical education. It was established by a group of forward-thinking academics and professionals who saw the need for an institution that could use engineering and technology education to support the nation's economic growth. Nec is a social institute that is registered with the District Administration Office in Bhaktapur and is not for profit. A number of private engineering colleges in Nepal developed as a result of nec's founding. Establishing a standard for others to follow, the college is committed to upholding its standing as a facility that values academic freedom and high-quality instruction.
Over time, nec has prioritized the development, modernization, and standardization of its academic programs. It offers courses in technology, engineering, and related fields at the bachelor's and master's level. Future plans for the college include adding more cutting-edge and practical courses.
Notwithstanding its humble beginnings, nec has grown in both size and scope of educational and physical resources, and it currently has learning facilities on par with those of other reputable universities in the nation and the region. Situated in the Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur, its 210-acre (10.69-hectare) campus offers an optimal learning environment surrounded by natural landscapes.
Nec currently offers programs leading to bachelor's and master's degrees. The master's level courses are offered at the nec - Center for Postgraduate Studies in Prayag Pokhari, Lalitpur, while the bachelor's level courses are taught at the Changunarayan main campus. In addition, the college offers a specialized course at Satdobato in Lalitpur called B.E. Civil for Diploma Holders (nec-BDH).
