Medical experts‚ colleges to address health woes
Kathmandu: A group of health experts plans to work together with academic institutions to reinforce district healthcare system with the focus on underserved areas. Dr Angel Magar, coordinator of Strengthening District Health Care System through Partnership with Academic Institutions in Nepal, informed about the programme today.
The partnership programme is the brainchild of the National Centre for Health Profession Education, Ministry of Health and Population and the World Health Organisation Nepal.
A team formed under the leadership of Dr Baburam Marasini of the health ministry will expedite the project. The team consists of representatives from Institute of Medicine, Association of Private Medical and Dental College, Civil Society and Department of Health Services, among others.
