National Industrial Engineering Expo from February 17
Industrial Engineering Students’ Society and Thapathali Campus Free Students’ Union are organising a three-day Second National Industrial Engineering Expo from February 17 in Kathmandu.
At a a press conference, Nuchhasova Tuladhar, chief of the Thapathali Campus, said national development is impossible without industrial development. She expressed hope that the engineering expo will contribute to industrial development apart from helping engineering students in developing their skills.
At the expo, the students will display various industrial materials and concept papers related to engineering works.
Expo Organising Committee today said a robot will inaugurate the expo and the chief guests of the programme will be ferried on a bio-diesel-operated Mustang vehicle.
Professors, industrial experts, engineers and students will present concept papers on a wide range of issues such as the energy crisis, importance of alternative energy, small scale industries in the Nepali context and climate change, among others.
