Teach For Nepal – King's College Public Service Scholarship
Masters in Business Administration: February (Fall) 2019 session
Teach For Nepal (TFN) and King’s College (KC) jointly announce a call for application from interested TFN Alumni for ‘Teach For Nepal – King's College Public Service Scholarship’ for Feb (Spring) 2019 session of Masters in Business Administration program.
The scholarship has been made possible through sponsorship by King’s College, Kathmandu and is aimed at 1) incentivizing excellence in leadership and service of TFN Fellows at their placement communities and schools, 2) post-Fellowship, supporting and facilitating them as TFN Alumni in advancing their leadership skills, experience and network necessary to bring their ideas of social change into action, and 3) enabling their role as social entrepreneurs. The scholarships being granted for the MBA February (Spring) 2019 session are:
1. Full scholarship - 2 candidates:
This scholarship will cover full college tuition, activity as well as university fees for the term of two full years of the MBA program.
2. Partial scholarship - 1 candidate:
The candidate receiving the partial scholarship will have tuition and activity fees covered by King’s College for two full years of the MBA program, but will be responsible for bearing examination and other fees charged by Westcliff University, California. (One more scholarship at the same level for the same program and university will also be available at a different college and will be made available at the discretion of the Selection Committee and TFN.)
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Complete the full application package made available by King’s College, Kathmandu and submit it to the Admissions Office by Jan 11, 2019. (Please note that the college will be closed Dec 22 - Jan 6.)
2. Submit an additional motivation letter at mona@teachfornepal.org by the same day Jan 11, 2019, addressed to the ‘Teach For Nepal – King's Public Service Scholarship Selection Committee.’ The subject line should include: “Motivation Letter: TFN-King’s College PS Scholarship.” The attachment file name should be named by: LastName_FirstName_MotivationLetter_Spring2019.
The motivation letter (500-1000 words) should cover answers to the following:
2.1. How do you summarize your TFN Fellowship experience and achievements?
2.2 Why would you like to pursue the MBA program at King’s?
2.3 What are your future plans post-MBA? What importance does an MBA degree hold in your career?
2.4 Why do you think you deserve the scholarship?
2.5 What do you think the role of TFN Alumni should be in TFN movement?
2.6 Any other relevant information

Additional notes: Priorities will be given to Alumni not working in the TFN staff team. Questions and/or queries regarding nomination for the the scholarship should be addressed to Mona Aditya, Alumni Affairs Manager at TFN at mona@teachfornepal.org. All other queries regarding fee figures, admissions, and other details on the MBA program should be addressed to the Admissions Office at King’s College.
