Call for Internship from LI-BIRD
LI-BIRD (Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development) provides a collegial, supportive working environment where young professionals with a learning attitude thrive and succeed. LI-BIRD provides unparalleled coaching support to its staff, interns and volunteers to learn, innovate and acquire skills and experiences that will become foundational for the rest of their careers.
As LI-BIRD has grown substantially in the past two years, we have had an opportunity to screen thousands and interview hundreds of applicants. We have learned that majority of the fresh graduates applying for our positions have limited experiences of working in an organizational setting. To succeed professionally, one needs to complement technical knowledge with practical knowledge of how an organization operates and functions. LI-BIRD’s internship programme is designed to engage early career professionals in a diversity of work to give them valuable experiences to complement their education.
Scope of work:
> Support project managers, admin and finance staffs on logistics and organization of different trainings, orientations and other functions/events
> Travel to different project sites, engage in collecting primary data from the field, support project team in coordination with local and district level stakeholders
> Support projects staffs on field based research activities (trial/experiments), data recording and analysis
> Support project staffs on documenting case studies, success stories and contribute to different technical articles and other publications.
LI-BIRD invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens who are reliable, accountable and have the ability to deliver the results with the highest integrity
Duration: Four-months, with the possibility of extension till 6-months.
Eligibility criteria
Education and Experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in agriculture, natural resource management, sociology, environmental science, rural development and/or related field. LI-BIRD encourages fresh graduates to apply for the internship programme.
LI-BIRD offers incentives to interns as per its standard Internship Policy. Interested candidates are requested to submit their motivation letter with CV including two references, citizenship certificate and relevant testimonials.
